Analog Beauty In A Digital Cesspool
Just wanted to give you a big thank you! Many of these tracks are a little obscure, so it is great that you have made them available with such pristine sound. Thank you X 5 (for each of the compilations).
Wow! I'm speechless, the freakin' Primates King-Kong track! One of the French cosmic holy grails that up until about five minutes ago, I could only go to You Tube and listen to it!Are both sides of the 12 inch the same? They both clock up at 5:15 ish but I always assumed there was a vocal/instrumental side - perhaps I am wrong.I am a real fan of the French producer of the King Kong track, Saint Preux and the label it is onHéloïse Disques, a sub-label of Carrere seems to have been set up to release his records and projects - one other disco album on the label which I heard a track off ages ago is the album by O.K. Santiago called Summer In The City.http://www.discogs.com/OK-Santiago-Summer-In-The-City/release/1800596Anyway, thanks again for your incredible reconstruction of the Discognosis albums, whoever picked the tracks in the first place certainly knew their disco.
I Agree...These compilation are wicked good. When I discovered them I had to put them back together. The Primates track was extremely hard to find, I had to hit up a friend who is a serious collector for a semi-decent copy. The next volume...#5 is the last in the series and it will be posted in the next few days. There also is a Canadian pressing of Volume 1 the only one made with a couple of different tracks on it, I may also post it but Instead of repeating the tracks from the one I already posted I might add some of my own choices.
