Dance Your Troubles Away 1975 (CZR&R @320)

Another gem from the Philly Soul era.
This one truly does
Dance Your Troubles Away !!!
Fun, heartfelt and genuinely scorching hot.
Check out "I Could Dance All Night".
A throwback to the days we
watched American Bandstand
and Soul Train to pick up all the
latest dance moves.

Quartz 1978

Quartz is an electronic Disco album.
the self titled track is brilliant,
laden with African chants and
heavy synths which invoke
a tribal feel.
while the playful piano riffs
on "Beyond" are light and airy.
A beautifully heartfelt hypnotizing
"For Geromine" is followed by
"Chaos" Which truly envokes
the very word with it's heavy
almost violent Synth riffs.

Your Love '85

This monster single is so catchy.
No one was ever left sitting
when this baby was playing.

A Beauty '83

Here is another rock track
that found it's way to my
turntables back in 83.

Morning Dew (UK Extended Single Version) '81

Sticking with the
Rock Disco Theme.
Here is a tune I can say I played
that almost no one else did.
That driving bass line is a killer !!!

For Loving You 12'' 1979

Another classic Rock-Disco Gem from 1979.
A Jim Burgess Mix.

Broken But Not Dead '79

1979 was by far the peak
year for Disco music.
But apart from many rock
acts getting into the Disco
action, some artists managed to
break stereotypes and bridge genres.
Marianne's 12 inch was
played not only in Disco's but
also Punk, Rock, Alternative and
Pop radio to boot.
The energy is raw and honest.
I included her rendition of a famous
John Lennon track that
knocks my socks off
every time.
